Workshop Manual Again

Contacted my dealer, spare parts and asked to purchase a workshop manual on Cd and was told they are not to be sold to the public. I have read the other posts regarding the manual and even quoted the part number to the spare parts "person". I was advised that they had been told from Toyota's southern region spares manager (Victoria ) not to sell this item.

Any advice would be greatfull prior to me ringing the Toyota's customer service number.

That ellery manual, i would use as a if last resort break glass kinda thing.

Very poorly written and as it covers both 90 and 120 series there is no real segregation of explanations for each model, it all flows into each other.

I have the manual and have found it to be good for things like removing trim pieces and body parts. If you were wanting to find some proper electrical schematics then don't bother.

If you can find <removed> as it would be worth its weight in gold just for some decent wiring diagrams.

Also at the price they are charging it for is highway robbery. I got mine for under $30 at Supercheap.

Have you tried ringing some other toyota parts outlets? It is a supplied part, and is for public sale from what I was told.

Then when you get one, go back to the one who wouldnt sell it to you and put a written complaint in.
