Chippy - I was wondering if there is a "STOP" system to your drawers to prevent anyone pulling the drawers out completely (safety factor). I am betting that you have a setup for this already. If so, can you provide any further details of how you have achieved this as it would be greatly appreciated by all PPers. We dont want anyone removing the drawers quickly to their full extent, especially if the vehicle is facing uphill and the drawers fly out the end when opened.
I'm not sure how to tackle this yet, so looking for some advice here as it would be a good idea to allow the removal the drawers easily when you want to and not have to rip the top of to do so.
I was thinking of attaching a small metal right angle bracket to the inside edge of the drawer opening on both sides, and have a pin at the back of the drawers on both sides that poke through into the cavity that stops when it hits the angle bracket. This pin setup could be spring loaded and connected to the opposing spring pin by a string to allow one-pull to disconnect.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance Chippy.
