  • Running UHF antenna cabling

    Hey guys,
I am currently having bit of trouble decicing where the best spot would be to run the cable for an antenna, ideally on your average car you would poke it through the firewall with the antenna for the stereo but as we all know thats not an option with a prado.

    Cheers

Through rubber grommet with other cables, left side of dash is easiest but
you can also run through grommet on right of dash.

There are little nipples you can cut off to run cable through, check out in
    engine bay.

    cheers

Just cut off one of the nipples next to the main loom on the grommet,
push a length of wire through from the engine bay then use that to pull
the coax through. Pull the coax tight then coat put some silicon around the coax
for about 2cm and about 2cm from the grommet then pull the coax back a bit
from inside the car, the silicon will form a doughnut and seal the coax.
