Sovereign bullbar part number question

Hi all, I've been a long term reader/lurker but first poster today.

I'm looking for a sovereign bullbar for my gxl. From my research the following part numbers are suitable
Pzq29 60165
Pzq29 60166

And the following for a gx (non flared)
Pzq29 60160
Pzq29 60161

So my questions are if the gx type has the extra black plastic extensions on the ends of the bar, will this fit the gxl or can the gx bar be modified to fit?

The reason is I've found a bar locally with part number Pzq29 60160 and it appears to be wide enough to fit (noting I have not pulled the bumper off to fully check).

I'd appreciate any help on this as my research and 'use of the search function' hasn't answered my questions

Hi Mate,
I have a sovereign bar on my VX and it looks pretty good. I cant advise you on the part number question but I am sure that your Toyota dealer could.
