    arb accessories-- prices

    Hi All, Just got a few prices from my nearest ARB accessory supplier. how do these prices sound?
    ARB winch bar $1561 = fitted
    IPF Fog Lights $ 430 = fitted
    Safari Snorkel $ 513 = fitted
    OME Susp $1231=fitted

    Total of $3735 Supply & fit these items, is this a good price or can it be bettered? :?:
    2008 GXL D4D, 5 speed auto, Grey with Toyota Towbar/ Mats /Tint/Cooper ST's/ ARB Winch Bar/ Safari Snorkel/2"OME Lift/ARB Dual Battery Sys/IPF Driving Lights/Polaris in Dash System/Bushranger Compressor/Ironman 9500lb winch.

    I'd say you could probably do a teensy bit better, especially if you're getting it in one job-lot.

    However, if the bar price includes the $220 for colour coding, it's probably toward the better end of the scale.

    ARB foglights are a bit rudely priced, don't you think? Push for some relief there if you can.

      Hi steve johno, think you can doa bit better on the snorkel. had a safari fitted here by Toyota couple of months ago and they did it for $430 at the same time as a service.

      The OME price seems ok i got quoted about $1500 fitted.

      Bar and lights haven't priced so can't help.

        Thanks for the input, will haggle for a bit better price...bull bar is not priced as colour coded, told it comes standard as grey.
        Fog lights are ridiculous price aspecially as they come as one with the Ironman bar

          hey mate , i had my car in for a ARB winch bar and snorkel fit for $2100 cash , the fitted the bar and had no time to fit the snork , so i asked to buy it off them and fit it myself , so they knocked $200 off the price and done the lot for $1900 + lent me a 95mm holesaw to cause criminal damage to my front wing , took 2 hours but felt good afterwards .

          i now have found that a workmate used to work for ARB and now the price i will pay for parts will be "right up there" , the test will be my roof rack and he says way under $500 with fitting kit .

          just on the IPF lights , i bought my off osherg on ebay for $260 and its "join the dots" to fit them .

          all depends on how handy/how much your extra time is worth .

                I recently had a couple of quotes up here in Cairns on a colour coded deluxe winch bar and winch from ARB and have a feeling the prices are not the best.

                - Colour coded deluxe winchbar fitted: $2116 (No foggies)

                - Warn XP 9.5 winch fitted $2250

                - Warn XD9000 winch fitted $1990

                They won't even budge on the pricing! I guess they can charge full RRP when there's no competing ARB stores close by!

                  Hi

                  The ARB bar seems a bit dear.Ive have been quoted just under $1726 colour coded and fitted for the deluxe winch bar.

                  The 2 prices on the winches seem about right

                    Hi Crammy, but there is always TJM on Scott Street have delt with them in the past not bad Eh.

                      best quote i've got so far was for $1845, when i took it back to another store they said "they must be paying you to put it on".. gave the guy stick for being a typical salesman and got straight answers off him from then forward..

                        hey crammy next time if your keen you should join us on a expedition..only a couple of us here ...last trip ( and the first ) was koombaloomba. you can check it in favourite destinations...

                          I was in TJM yesterday actually, what a great bunch of blokes! They really knew their stuff. Myself and the missus spent about 2 hours in there looking at all sorts of goodies and the salesman explained the pros and cons on everything and didn't bullsh!t us one bit. I can't say we've had the same experience with ARB up here so far.

                          I looked at the TJM BB but I just can't go passed the ARB BB at the moment. Hopefully the local dealer can get me a better price on it.

                          Yeah I'd be happy to pay something around that. It's a given that freight prices are going to be higher up here but I still think they could do better than $2116.

                          Hi Joey,

                          That'd be awesome... I'd love to meet some PP'ers and like minded 4x4 enthusiasts up this way. We're only relatively new to Cairns so it would be great to meet a few new people and find some great spots around Cairns.

                          Our Prado arrives late next month so we'll be set when she arrives.

                              I was quoted $1730 for the ARB winch bar/bull bar today, that doesnt include the colour coding but does include fitting.
                              The guy in the store reckons they come in grey as standard and as my car is charcoal grey they would be a pretty good match.
