Thanks for the advice, measuring and the drilling the holes no problem

It's was those two top inner guard bolts that took a looooonnnnggg time, not much room in there, loctite all the bolts, silaflex and happy with the result

Took for a quick run on the freeway - seemed more responsive.....

Well deserved beer tonite - got one sore back

      Well done Kimboprado.
Drove mine around today after last weekends install and am still loving that induction noise. Have to agree with you that they drive a bit better with the addition of a snorkel.

I am about to install a safari snorkel to my petrol grande.
Now being a grande it has the airbags in the A pillar, surely there is a second layer of steel I hope.
Does anyone have first hand experience of fitting the bracket to the A pillar.
I'm having nightmares about drilling straight through the airbag.

Well I decided to investigate my self by pulling of the A pillar inside plastic cover
And there is no way you could drill through the airbag itself as there is indeed a second layer of steel
And to be honest the airbag is just kinda like a flexible approx 35mm round sock looking thing.
I would still be taking it easy though.

Do it Gmmj72! - just take it easy with the big mumma, 95mm of sharp teeth want to bite and twist but take it slow and breathe...

                    Yey I did it
As others have said get some new guard liner clips as you will break some as they are a total pita to get out I paid $3 each
                    Quality holesaw is a must
I found the template very accurate, the instructions say to step drill the 3 bottom holes to 16mm,but drill with a 16 mm drill bit the 2 top holes, this is because the step drill hits the second skin before reaching 16mm, I didn't and found the two top holes at 12mm was enough.
I would suggest buying a 13mm ratchet ring spanner and be prepared to curse and swear trying to get the top bolt started on the stud.
Sealed every joint with sensor safe silicone because I had some.
I also sealed the 4 penetrations in the a pillar before I fitted the bracket and screws.

Great to finally offer something to the forum

Another tip is to use a nibbler instead of a hole saw. Gives you a much cleaner hole without any burrs to clean up. And its easier on your nerves!

Red det cord cuts nice round holes too, doesn't leave much on the inside though.

Yes! Its sure nerve racking...no mistakes tolerated. I managed to remove all my under guard clips and reuse them. Repaint all holes etc is a must.
A step drill is a handy tool with the 89mm holesaw for the 150 series.
