Does anyone know where these are sold? (http://www.lifehammer.com/) They used to be standard kit on all the Telecom 4WD's (and therefore my own  ).

I cannot seem to see them for sale anywhwere these days though.

Haven't seem them but all the milford cargo barriers have one similar to that clipped on to the barrier for if someone gets stuck in there and has to get out. You could probably buy one through anywhere that sells cargo barriers as a spare part

I have also tried and found them but very expensive. I ended up getting one from England thru ebay but it is light and I am not sure that it will do what it needs to do. I will wait for the response from others with interest.

Saw the life hammer on "myth busters" , it shattered car side windows with only light tap on the glass. Don't let the kids near it.

Got mine on the web from the US - yes they're very light. Never tried it though.

I keep one in each of the front door pockets, away from the kids...

Just found this website offering an updated version of the LifeHammer for $33 each:

                        http://www.nexttech.com.au/Content_C...s_stayglow.seo

Also have regular version at $29 and chrome version at $39 each.

Also found ResQMe tool available at mrgadget.com.au for $29.90, which looks interesting as it can attach easily to a keyring:

Some assclown up at Byron Bay has gone along the freeway breaking all the sound proofing glass on the hwy with one of these. Must have smashed at least 50 sheets of thick glass.
