Need a new Drivers seat

Hey All,
I'm new to the site and after a little help.
I recently purchased a 2nd hand Prado and chasing a drivers seat to suit a 2008 VX 120 series, leather seat, electric.
can someone point me in the right direction where I may be able to pick one up?

The wreckers or ebay seems like the most obvious places to search.

Why do you need a new seat? You can actualy just transfer all the electrics over from a manual seat
And the trims and seat foams are interchangeable from left to right
If yours is just worn trim get a passenger side seat may even be cheaper and swap it all about

The seat it worn and torn and want to replace it. I heard someone say they will knock you back on your rego inspection for a torn seat.

Ive had a look on ebay for leather seats but have not seen any for sale, likewise with the wreckers.
I like the idea of utilising a passenger seat. I might go raid a mates car- see if he picks up on it.

Have you taken it to a good motor trimmer for a quote on repair/revamp?

In just had a 90 series drivers seat base redone , had to to it in vynil as leather was very expencive and very difficult to find matching colours it was just a car I fixed up to sell and make money off that was 165$ feels yuk

Yeah they possibly would knock you back at the pits
No one looks after there leather seats so that's why they tear they need leather cream at least every 6 months to keep the leather soft, the steering wheel is the same

Be aware of the side air bag on the VX. A passenger seat replacement would probably be knocked back on that issue.

I'm guessing you're not Australian? Terminology gets me every time I travel. Sometimes even between our own states.

Also known as "upholsterer", a motor trimmer is a term generally applied to people who specialise in motor vehicle interiors.

If you google "motor trimmers wollongong" theres a few results, including links to a few other forums discussing who's who in the zoo.

Very true about the air bags if you have seat airbags then you can't use a passenger side one base maybe if it dosnt have any workings in it
