I have seen a product that might even be better than a scanguage.
It's called a DashHawk. It can even download all sorts of data to the PC.

Hi Guys,
It is compliant with our Prados OBDII, it has many configurable functions so I would presume you can configure the Tripmeter function as it is an OBD II output.

It does have many nice features, the one I like is the USB port connection and the configurable displays including Bar Graph which I use a lot in Marine Engine Control and display systems for quick measured value indications.

At $299USD its getting up there to a full blown low price analyser.

Another nice gadget to think about.
