The fridge is f***ing fantastic - almost worth the extra for the Grande on its own...

Even if you leave Mars bars in the car on a hot day, it is surprising how long the contents of the box stays cool long after the car is switched off... gotta love it 8)

I know this thread is a couple of years old, but it is the most relevant for my question.

I have a 2003 Grande and the console cooler is getting a lot of condensation inside. I have had to sponge out over an inch of water from the bottom.

I have found the drain hole in the bottom, but when I poked a wire down it, it felt that it was blocked with some sort of rubber compound - a bit of give, but no pushing through. After persisting and pushing hard, I got the wire through but it then hit on a metal plate. I climbed under and it seems to come out over the heat reflecting sheet above the exhaust and under the driver's seat.

On removing the wire, the hole was still blocked as the rubber compound just pulled back together. I want to clear out the drain hole but can't see how without pulling out the exhaust and removing the heat reflecting plate.

Has anyone else had the problem and how did you fix it.

The drain is a hose with a bit of a S bend in it. I'd say you pushed the wire through the wall of it.

Follow this link for a parts diagram, it shows the hose (Part 88539) and may assist you in accessing it/unblocking it;

I think from memory I used a syringe and a bit of silicone air hose (from a fish tank). Filled the Syringe with water, put the hose on the end and push hose down drain. Then push plunger and squirt water through drain. Usually its just a "globby" algea clogging the drain.

I can also vouch for it cooling items down really quickly.

As for others above, mine also works without the main aircon/climate control on.
