I just couldn't bring myself to put something blue on the car at this time of the year - even if it improves things.
How true

The pics don't really do it justice. The Crystal Blue covers give a much cleaner light that's really easy on the eye and doesn't give anywhere near as much glare off signs and the like.
... and if you have a look near that red marker ... the blue covers seem to give a tiny bit more fill at distance.
I bought a set of blue covers yesterday for my 900XS spotties but I had problems with my hid conversion on them so I 've put the standard 65 watt bulbs back in for the time being. Driving home tonight with them on they put out a blue light similar to the 6000k hid light, definately took the glare off the road signs but I also think they reduced the brightness a little.
I'll keep you updated once I get my HID kit sorted in the next few days and hopefully post some pics.
Maroon covers huh? Well well well. Might have to see if the LightForce Mob can keep up with the Jonses regarding this. Maroon Prado..... Maroon Lights..... 8)
I can second the blue light covers making the light appear a much crisper white. Take the blue covers off and the light looks almost yellow in comparison. Didn't realize there were 2 different blues though. Might have to check that out. These 240 Blitz's make roadsigns light up like the blazes!! Now If I put HID's in there..... What... I'm going to get a suntan each time I go past a Mile marker??

Thanks for the info. I went for clear and they are very good. I consulted a couple of truckies I know and they reckon clear is brighter and more natural ("what would they know?" I hear you ask!). I don't like the look of the blue ones anyway.

Certainly for me they were. I normally wear corrective lenses for distance vision and find that, at night, the reflected glare from my own lights to be quite tiring on the eyes.
I noticed when I went to the IPF Fatboy globes for the headlights that the slight blue was very clear and a lot less harsh. That's what convinced me to have a look at the crystal blue lenses for the spotties.
.... and they have certainly lived up to expectations.
Ta, i went out to ARB last weekend to check the covers out, they had clear, blue and orange. didn't end up buying as i wasn't convinced of the benefits (sort of doesn't make sense in my head that a whiter light would have less reflection but it appears to be consistent feedback from people that have them)
