  • Shovel

    Guys,

Here is a shovel used by the army. Saves you from carrying the long handle shovel. Doubles as a pick and shovel.

Can be bought from http://www.armysurplus.com.au/index.php (this store is in Wellington street, WA).
    Cheers,
    Dustie

only problem, doesn't have the reach of the long handle.
i carry long handle so i'm not against the side of the digging underneath it.
but definately good for other uses in the truck

hey the boys in the army dig trenches, fox holes with this stuff . The long handles create a fulcrum which may affect the back?

I look for dual purpose to keep the weight down and this shovel is multi position. Had to use it on the old mill road, watagans

Putting Air Lockers would that change the playdo from a constant 4wd to a part time 4wd?
          Cheers,

              not a 2 maybe try-hard 3 wheel drive

                  Re:

I got one of these shovels to go with the new Prado just recently... and had to use it first time around during a day trip up the Dampier Peninsular ops: ops:

IMO the shovel is really solid and very easy to use. The choice of either the long handle or standard handle gives you a choice of style depending on the application. Indeed, I found the long handle was very helpful in extracting a deep build up of sand from under my Prado!!!

The carry bag is also very helpful in storing away when not needed. Will look to get the axe/shovel holder (that fits on the spare wheel) in due course. 8)

Good to hear, Ian makes great gear that is very well thought out and constructed.
