Hi all, got home tonight to find the wife has brought me some gen toyota weathershieds. Don't know what she wants but something is not right. Anyway the instructions are just ok, has anyone fitted them to there prado if so any do's or don't.

fitted weathershields today, look great, pretty easy, just make sure everything lines up before you stick them on.

      Hi alprado,

As you found easy to fit though with mine they didn't supply any of the anti abrasive
pads to use on the clips that fit where the rear vision mirrors are, I thought this a little
      odd.

      Cheers

maybe cause its plastic there? may just be worried about corrosion on metal parts

            Hi lippa,

Yes it is plastic one side but is metal the other side, I thought it might be something to do with
movement when the glass hits the window at the top that the pads are there, but mine actually
moves more at the mirrors when the window closes. May be they feel any rust will be hidden by
            the plastic cover

I'll be keeping a eye on mune and if it starts to rust back to mister Toyota it will go!

            Cheers

was a while ago when i did mine, your right about the internal being metal. those 3m sticking things dont stick well to textured plastic. you can get those things from clark rubber. mayby worth trying to pu one on the internal surface. would take 10+ years for corrosion to take a noticable effect there though.
