The snorkel has an annoyingly noisy vibration at low speeds. Anyone got a simple fix for this sort of thing or should I take it back to ARB for a look?

Re: Safari Snorkel annoying vibration
sounds like something is not fitted correctly or has come loose, or maybe was never tightened to begin with.
obviously wasn't there before the snorkel fitment.
have they tightened/refitted the air cleaner box correctly?
does your snorkel feel tight on the guard?

Safari Snorkel annoying vibration
Had a very annoying resonance vibration in the snorkel on my Pajero which couldn't be fixed. Drove me bonkers. Will probably put me off going Safari for the Prado.150 GXL V6 Auto. Re: Safari Snorkel annoying vibration
I seem to have fixed the problem ... touching wood as I type. Leachy_9's idea was all I did - nothing loose with the exception of the screws holding the band at the top which took half a turn each. Everything else rock solid. I'll bet it comes back Monday louder than ever!2012 GXL Diesel Auto.

Re: Safari Snorkel annoying vibration
I also have a vibration coming from mine have not made it back to uv yet but the bloke there said that sometimes the bolts they put in the pillar just rub so should be able to just undo the bolts and give a wiggle and retighten but will leave it to them as that way they cant blame meECB ally bar, IPF HID upgraded, dual battery with CTEK dc to dc inverter, 32lt Engel, Safari snorkel, GME UHF, Maxtrax, bridgstone duelers, Offroad camper Trailer

Re: Safari Snorkel annoying vibration
all it is mate is the drain plug at the bottom compartment of the air filter , its a little rubber plug that u can grag from underneath and just open it up and it releases the air pressure and the noise goes aways , thats all it is mate , give it a try and see how you go.

I had a sound which almost sounded like a rattle/ back pressure, it turned out to be the drain bung in the air box wasn't fully sealed, got some sensor safe sealant and walla noise gone, don't know if yours is the same issue tho, but might be one thing to rule out2008 120 Series 3lt D4D TD Prado GX, With to many bits to list :-) and more to come!!
