Dashboard pod?

G'day all,
A couple of days ago, at a shopping centre, I spoted a 120 Prado with a very nice dashboard pod mounted above the clock readout. It matched the dashboard finish and looked very well made. It was about as wide as the radio/centre consol with the same arch angle of the instrument pod. It looked brilliant. I waited to see if the owner would turn up, but after about 20 minutes I gave up.
Has anyone seen something like this before on a 120, and if so, was it commercialy available, or are they hand-made? I would like to get my hands on one.

Thanks for the reply.
I rang them and it's not one of their's. This one mounts over the clock, which means that the clock is recessed under the pod. It looks great and suits the dashboard so well.

i also sure a dash pod on a
national parks and wildlife service 120 prado.
it drove past and into a secure under ground carpark, so couldn't get a good look at it.

MSA make one and ARB also market a new version of the dash pod which fits above the clock

Don't know if this helps at all, but I too was after info on a similar thing, if you go to.... viewtopic.php?f=18&t=7646
you will see the ones I was asking about.

...then change the numbers, 100.jpg to 149.jpg, there are some pics of other prado dashs (as well as other stuff too.)

Those one look standard in the upper models of the european versions - more so than an after-market accessory... But very cool compared to the basic temp and clock!!!!

Both MSA (as mentioned) and BlackWidow make them. Check out the websites.

I've got a BlackWidow one which is like a light grey in colour and has the BlackWidow logo. Cost was about $70.

Very handy for holding wallets/mobile phones/handheld UHF/maps/garage door remote/etc - which for me means that my cup holders are freed up as they tended to be my traditional dumping ground.
