Hi AJ, as suggested above in this thread it is actually illegal in South Oz to have an uneven number of lights. I had this discussion in another thread a while ago, have a look here http://www.pradopoint.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=354

The exception is you can have a "work light "operated by a switch outside the vehicle, with some clever wiring and a two way switch in the cab and another switch under the bonnet it could be made to look legal, just dont get caught with all three on while driving down the road, or like somebody else you know just take a chance and see what happens eh!

Wouldn't mind three myself but still wieghing up whether it is worth the effort, also i have gone for IPF 900's and you can only but them in pairs :evil:

Yeah, I'm happy to run the gauntlet with that though :lol: :lol: Although I know that Team Piggy got the big yellow sticker for running three...
The other option I guess is the HID conversion, but might even get the third and then suggest the possibility of HID conversions to the Mrs then :wink:

It depends on the road rules applied to each state but it may also be in the ADR. I know it is enforced in SA and I believe QLD but I don't know about other states. Will be interesting to see how something like this applies to the new LED bar lights that companies like Snake Racing are selling since you can have a single bar light that is more powerful and large than maybe two spotties.

One of my mates is dead set on getting one of these for his 100 Series. Will be interesting to see how that performs with his truck, especially when we can compare them to his 2x LightForce XGT HID's he's already got fitted..... :shock: :shock:

S.A Boys,

I run 3 IPF lights on my ARB BAR
I have a factory IPF HID (spot) in the centre and two HID conversions (spreads) on each side - I think they go ok and have never been pulled up for it - I know it is illegal but so is a lot of things in life....... :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
If you want to compare them at night before you spend your $$$$$$ I am sure we could arrange something via a PM
