    Re: Scrub bars/ Front rails

Heh - bulldozer.. I like it! Complete overkill for the likes of me and I seriously suspect that before too long such setups will be illegal in WA. Impressive nontheless though. You'd take a serious hit with all that gear added on. I used to have brush bars on my old Lux and now really miss them. They were great for pushing overgrown bushes out the way and keeping my front mudguards undented. I was surprised to find that nobody seemed to have them as a standard item as I would have them fitted in a jiff if I could find someone to do it. Just a set of alloy bars would be plenty enough for me right now and the type of trips we do. Nice shiny ones would look ok I reckon. 8)

Can't wait for the pics Joey.

What modifications were required? just a cut and shut for length? or some reshaping/bending as well?

At the moment unless you have good contacts the mining industry is buying up the vast majority of stock.

I am unaware if these are available as a retail product?

I no longer deal with ripoff aftermarket merchants, after a spate of HTF did this happen incidents. The final straw was after a winch bullbar fell off because someone forgot to tighten the bolts.

Unless their is a top down approach to cleaning up dodgy operators and they clean up their act and employ competent/qualified installers they have lost a heap of corporate business.

As to a supplier, I get all my vehicles fitted out through MineCorp.

I'd be very careful dealing with mine corp, make sure you get everything in writing as they have very short memorys & have a habit of changing their minds of what they can & cant do, I have been burnt big time by them & no doubt haven't been the only one.

Thanks for the heads up yetiboy

Sorry should clarify, All my vehicles that need to enter mine property. The safety regs are always changing, apparently you need bright coloured toilet paper with an attached instruction manual coated in plastic on a lanyard, with a big flag on it, a flashing light, yellow plastic covers over your nuts, a big ID sticker across your butt and you need to fill out a 20 page report if you piss out of the permitted area i.e. the seat, this is all just to have a dump !!!

So far, MineCorp have been pretty good and fairly well priced. They have done a great job on a few of my special request vehicles, I'll keep a keen eye on things though.

I know what you mean, all are vehicles are mine spec, now they want us to put on a GPS tracking system that monitors how fast you are going, how hard you push the brake pedal, how long the vehicle idles for etc ect & if any of the parrameters are exceeded it sends a message to the safety dept
