Hello,
I recently purchase a 2004 Toyota Prado J120 and did a OME suspension upgrade changing both spring and shocks. After the modification and driving the car for less than 5 km, the brake pedal will become very strong and the front brakes will be fully blocked immobilizing completely the vehicle.
I have measured the height of the vehicle before the modification, there is an increase of 7 cm in all the wheels. I did a search on the internet and many forums mention the Load Sensing Proportioning Valve but no much details on how to adjust it. I decided then to reposition the valve exactly 7 cm higher like the lift of the suspension… Yesterday in the evening after repositioning the spring of the LSVP I took the vehicle out for a test drive and the result ended up similar, after less than 5 km the front wheels immobilized the vehicle, I came out of the car to assess the situation, it was dark and realize that the two front disc where glowing in the dark! They were so hot, the pads smoking and smelling… I had to wait more than an hour before the tire will roll again and before arriving at my house the clutch ended up burning because the front discs were already blocked. Who can help?
Kind regards.
Alex.
