KZ Clutch replacement advice

Ok here is the go

1. Clutch is worn...
2. Quoted $900 for valeo kit including fitting plus seals etc..
3. I dont want a HD clutch so as to avoid possible issues with crank thrust bearing a rear diff strain etc...
4. Would you install a valeo clutch or another standard pressure clutch?

Any advise welcome as its booked in at 0800 tomorrow...I need to cancel and get the right kit in or go with valeo kit....im not towing all that much but im careful with my clutch anyways...

Please no red herring replies or advise on why the planets rotate....just no bullshit replies thanks

Providing no previous clutch judder (Hot spots on the fly wheel or heat cracks) the generic clutch kit "valeo kit" (Pressure plate/disc plate and thrust bearing) will be fine and you will have no probs ("valeo kits are popular and good")

If any hot spots or heat cracks on the flywheel it is easily fixed with just having the flywheel machined.

As you mentioned the rear crank oil seal will be changed but also make sure the "spigot bearing" (Small bearing in the very centre of flywheel for the gearbox "input shaft") is also changed.

Just as a small note also be sure to ask your mechanic to make sure that the "starter motor ring gear" is in good shape (This is the toothed gear on the outside of the fly wheel for the starter motor). This is not a part that you change just for the hell of it but if the teeth are chewed (Usually in four spots oposite each other on the compression stroke of the engine) it would be a smart choice to do it whilst the gearbox is out!

Always make a clear note to the mechanic that if any extra work is to pop-up that he must ring you first before going ahead with extra work!...
