Just done with the Prado servicing today and when I took her for a run I've noticed a rattle noise at low speed when the car is in gear/ clutch engaged. I've also picked up on a squishing noise when I push the clutch in. Reading through the archives I see I can sort out the peddle noise with a bit of spray grease on the forks but im thinking the release bearing is on its way out. The other noise is pointing towards the thrust bearing and my thinking is if I go down the route of fixing that then I may as well sort the original clutch out with a heavy duty variety. Id be upgrading to this due to the car not being a daily driver and it will be towing sometime in the future.
Question is has anyone used any particular brand and had good results/ experiences, it would be for a 2008 6 speed manual D4D? Id be looking at buying parts and having them freighted up for the install. Would anyone have a good contact in Perth that could shed some light on this maybe? Thanks in advance.
