As for soldering in confined spaces, at least once a year on a consistent basis for nearly 10 years I grab the business end of the soldering iron leaning out of the car to pick it up!

How did you go with this Pilgrim Traveller? I have my thoughts too but have been so busy at work I havent had the time to respond.

Hi Stu - you must have missed an earlier post Thanks to the advice and suggestions of many on here, I managed to get it working again. Found that the one of the throttle wires was definitely chewed through so ran a new cable through, soldered, heatshrunk and firmly taped in place. No problems since! Hoping that's the last I hear of it
