Recently purchased a camper trailer with 10 mm cable feeding a 105 ah lead acid deep cycle battery. I am looking look at setting up a dual battery system in the 120 series diesel prado. I haven't decided what battery or management/isolator to go for as I have read agm batteries need to be charged fully on a regular basis to maintain their integrity . I will eventually be looking to add solar panels to charge whatever system I go for but am undecided whether to buy a redarc sbi12d or go for bcdc1220 that will future proof against buying a regulator later for solar and to maximise the life of batteries. Am I correct if while stationary and have solar charging aux battery in car that this will also charge the battery in camper trailer if connected my vehicle. Any help will much appreciated. yet another thread I would suggest you delete this one and do some searching.

You can change the words before the word "site" to get different search results i.e. type in dual battery install site

I just used Google advance search and used pradopoint.com for site/domain name to search in. I used dual battery for the words to serach for as an example. You can click on the links for any type of Prado to get an idea of what setup to use.
As Leigh said there is a lot of info on this and we want to keep this information on a minimum number of threads to make it easier for people such as yourself to find what you are looking for.
