Front left speaker no longer working.

Hello:

I recently noticed there is no sound coming from my front left speaker.

The speaker is located in the upper part of the door.

Not sure if I should attempt to remove the speaker OR if I should look at the connection to the radio.

Any suggestions?

Are you talking about the little tweeter in the top front corner of the door?

If so you will probably not hear anything coming out of this as it is a tweeter (Tweeters reproduce only the highest notes, usually around 6000Hz and above which you wont be able to hear it clearly when the speaker in the bottom of the door is playing normal music in the midrange.

Frankly if you can't hear 6000 hz you either need your hearing checked or there is a loose plug / break in the speaker wire.

Young kids hear up to 20,000 Hz and old farts like me should still hear 14,000 Hz. You may need to open the door panel and check the plug has not fallen off or the wire is still intact
