Depends on Amp Hours of the battery, so in theory a 55AH battery with a 1 Amp draw would last 55 hours. Conversely, lets say your battery is a 36AH battery, you would get 10 hours out of it.
*Actual battery draw will vary in real world conditions*'04 120 Petrol Flinders Red GXL

They say never drain an SLA battery fully. Always keep the voltage above 10.8.
So your 36 AHr battery should only be at most 75% discharged. (most say 50%)
Which is then only 5hrs. 3.6 amps is not bad if it is bright light. Laptop can draw up to 4.6amps when charging.
A fridge 2-4 amps and a winch up to 100amps. you can get some good 1 amp 12v fluro's and LED stips these days.Chris220220 Finally a Prado owner

Hi Regan, 3.6A works out at about 40w, that's a hell of a lot of LED power. I have a 72w LED light bar for the front of my Prado, great for driving, not sure I'd want it for fishing or camping light though. 18w flood light seem to be what most are fitting as worklights on the back of their Prados2003 Prado Grande TD Auto Pearl White

I recently replaced my 50W H3 Kaymar rear worklight with:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/330675106...84.m1423.l2649
24w a kicks out plenty of light, would not go much brighter. I'm not good with electrics but I'd go LED rather than HID.
However to have a rear worklight you'd
1. Have to make your own bracket /rear wheel spacer
2. Find Amt's thread, he sells the bracket/rear wheel spacer cheaper than:
3. Buy one of Kaymar. Just buy the pole not the rear worklight as there new LED lights are expensive as....I got a guote!!! Retrofitting the ebay one's is simple....it's just the extras you may want i.e wiring it all up.
You could wire the signal into the reverse light so when you reverse the light pops on?? Or have an isolator switch in cabin to turn on/off at leisure.
