Warning lights!!

Hello there,

good think I found this forum, cuz I've been searching the web desperately for the past two days

anyway, it's a 2006 V6 VX

I've the abs, handbrake, engine and the battery lights are always on and sometimes the airbag light too

Also the speedo is not working and fuel gauge is playing up and down occasionally

yet with all of that everything works fine

the issue started last month as my dad was coming back from work

any suggestion or helpful thought would be appreciated

try disconnecting the battery for at least 20mins and see if it resets the ecm???

This fault is symptomatic of a fault in the charge system, have you checked your charge
voltage?

LeighW you r right

I rest it a week ago but nothing changed

so today I checked the alternator and it's was charging over 16volts

odd cuz when I tested it before it was fine

I'll remove the alternator tomorrow to see what's wrong... probably the rectifier

If the voltage is high it will possibly be a faulty voltage regulator in the alternator,
also check the ALT-S fuse for possible micro cracks etc.

Yup it was the rectifier

replaced it with a new one and its good as new
