  • Brake Controller in Passenger Footwell

Hello, installing a Redarc Tow Pro Brake Controller at the weekend, I plan to put the unit behind the passenger kick panel in the footwell. Got the power and the blue wire all sorted but was wondering where to pick up the brake input signal in this area.

I could run another wire back with the blue wire as some have done but there must but a place near here to pick it up, does anyone have any ideas and pictures that can help?

    Thanks (in advance),

I ran dual core wire from the trailer plug (car side) up to the controller. One was for the "blue wire" trailer brake's, the other picked up off the brake light input to activate controller. Easier then rolling around under the dash.

Hi Dustin , I have a 120 and would have to check to be sure but I'm 90% sure it's the green wire with the yellow stripe at the brake pedal

Rusty in the glove box ??? bit of a pain if you have to lean over to the other side of the car open the glovebox and manually apply the trailer brakes in an emergency you think ??

In an emergency if you have time to operate the brake controller, it was not an emergency.
Really not being mean but have had several big stops on trails and never had time to use the controller.

Test the brakes on start up every day when towing, flip the lid, slide the bar and close the lid. Not enough leg room to put it on the drivers side and didn't want to have it hanging out of the ash tray. Once adjusted you shouldn't need to touch it again.

                    Just my 5 cents.

                      Hello boys,
I have my kotonsur brake controller ( don't think that's spelt right) but took my ashtray out and put it there ,handy to get to ajust and its out of the way but you can get to it just used some hard foam to hold it nice and secure.
