  • Lights for bush/beach driving at night

    Hi everyone,
I've never 4WD'ed at night but we're off to Moreton Island soon and thought we might do a bit whilst staying there. A lot of the lights are designed for distance and wide angles however when we're only traveling at <40km/hr I don't think I need such lights. Will the normal high beams be ok or should I consider a light bar?
2007 GXL V6 - ARB Bullbar with LED lights, snorkel, extractors, 2 1/4" dual exhaust, K&N filter, dimpled/slotted rotors, headrest dvd players, Ebay Satnav/reverse camera, GME 3100TX, Tigerz11 Side awning on custom brackets with Maxtrax mounts, 300W Invertor, ARB Underbody protection, Lightbar and STZ 265/70 tyres.
Wish list in order I'll get them: Sliders, 2" lift, E-locker, Winch bar with winch.

Depends on how fussed you are, sub 40km a small LED bar will work well. I got a 60w bar with 6 10W ELD's in it for about $80. Works really well.

Frankly you will be fine with the standard lights at <40kph. But its always nice to get a little boost with something extra.
