P3 Brake Controller Problem

My brake lights seem to stay on after I shut down the car. I noticed that if I pull the lever on the brake controller the lights go out. Has anyone else had this problem with their brake controller?

Occasionally does it. Usually notice the controller blinking or if i don't i notice the brake lights on. I just flick the lever and alls good. Only happened twice in the last 4 years so not concerned about it. If it happened all the time then i would be. May be an earth problem ?? or faulty unit if all the time.

Thanks. Mine plays up once in a while. I've only once had this trigger the TRC warning light while driving. I'm thinking a faulty unit but will trace the wiring to make sure.
