Was wondering has anyone used the donaldson range of heavy duty filters before? Or any other non genuine brand filters like to know other peopkes opinion thanks

for the price of genuine filters: ~$10-12 ...why bother?

For the 1kz, they are $35 Ryco, rip off.
I use Repco brand, for me at least they back there products.
Wait till they have a $25 oil with a free oil filter, u can't beat that!

Ohhh and Repco brand is the only brand of oil filter I have never had problems with.
Probably just luck but that's the fact so far....
Had genuine, Ryco and other cheap brands leak at seem or bad seals. Repco no probs!

Considering all oil filter are doing the same thing and 90% of applications cost under $15.
I'm happy with the free ones, haha.....

cheaper than ryco.

those 'z334' filters have always been super expensive. They are a pretty large unit though when compared to the new d2 filters.

I don't have a d4d. Ebay has a donaldson kit oil,fuel and air for around $70 delivered good price ryco at half the price of genuine is good have not found a toyota genuine for under $ 70 oil and fuel

Donaldson are a good brand of filter. Not used them in my Prado but they are used a lot in the earthmoving and farming industries so must me good in dusty conditions.

The only non-genuine filters I'd consider using is the between tank filter and cabin filter.

I fitted a Racor 500FG (225 LPH) combined with the 2010SM (2Micron) element to my 08 1KD-FTV D4D. The best. Used them extensivly in the marine industry.
