Removing Snorkel Head

I had my snorkel ram head off yesterday to try and find the source or an anoying buzzing sound. I noticed hte car drove a lot better with the head removed.

Has anyone else noticed this? The head wasn't blocked in any way.

No experience with the car but I've met some people like that.

It drives better with the head off? If it's not blocked then how can that be? Logically, ripping the whole thing off the side of the car should really make it fly then.

Yeah, not quite sure. Might be a resonance or air swirl thing. The engine reved more freely with the head off.
