Will certainly have a look in the morning. The air filter is a cleanable one and was cleaned not long ago. I also checked that early on as I believe it is normally the simple things

The issue with my prado's power cut was worked out last night. It ended up being a bleed screw (boost adjuster) that had wound itself all the way out with vibrations. The cut in power was the car protecting itself from over boost by cutting the fuel. I am pleased it was something so cheap; I was convinced it was going to be the fuel pump. Thanks to everyone that put in some help, it was much appreciated.

        Hey thats excellent.
How did you find / diagnose it?
Where is the boost adjuster screw?
        How was it reset properly?
Im very interested as I will now double check mine!

I have a Mechanic mate that worked it out.

Where is the boost adjuster screw?

It is in line on the way to waste gate. It just bleads some of the air off

          How was it reset properly?

It was just wound back in last night to put it back to standard. This morning I have put in a boost gauge and will reset it over the day. When the chip was put in, the extra boost was used to help cool the EGT and was set at about 12 psi. I will aim to put it back there. Standard, mine boosts at 10psi and is at 11atm, a little more playing.

Not sure if the picture makes any sense but just incase.
