I just had my 2009 120 series 1KD-FTV serviced where an oil change was done. I have since checked the oil dipstick and noticed the oil level about 1cm above the full mark. The engine sounds normal but should I be concerned that the oil has been overfilled and could there be damage being caused to the engine?

no I wouldn`t be worried about 1cm. Consider that the car goes around corners, up and down hills and is subject to many g forces, 1cm over is no big deal. There has to be some flexibility with it.
If it was 2cm I would consider draining some out via the sump plug.
If you are concerned , ring the service agent and let them make the decision.Last edited by maxjj; 15-01-2014, 07:33 AM.stepped up the a 200 LC for towing,
