These fuel systems have been designed to run on the lower lubrication of the 'now days' diesel. Adding 0.1% of a 2 stroke oil will bearly change the composition of the diesel. The quieting down of the injectors I would assume is because someone is running a lot more and I believe that the greatest impact would be from changing the Viscosity of the fuel.
A colder climate is going to do the same thing. I haven't seen any adverse effects to the fuel system from running the VERY LOW concentrations of this stuff, but I'd also state that we cannot tell the difference in performance either. Personally, I'd be more worried about the CATS in the exhaust and adding more shit thats going through the EGR system. You're adding material thats not meant to completely burn which means you're adding 'density' to the exhaust...
anyway, as always, its a personal choice thing.

Have been using 2T in the old 1KZ banger for the last 120,000k's and it definitely is quieter in the fuel pump area. Leave it out and the rattle return with a vengeance real quick.
Don't think I would use it in the D4D though, but wouldn't have one anyway after all the shit one reads about all brands these days of the common rail designs.
Have 200,000 k's up and at least 100000 of that with a 2 1/2 ton van behind.. Will rebuild the motor if I happen t outlive it..John
