Which oil is best?

Hi guys only new to the forum, just bought an 03 GXL with 340,000kms on clock (country kms), seems to be in great condition, drives very tight and was wondering what engine oil would be best for these miles? I am also going to add duel batterys, 2" lift, snorkle and chip, if anyone has any suggestions. Also looking at putting in a gps radio system, been looking at Eonon, are they any good or is there better. I am going to try and do most of the work myself, with a little help from you guys, to save money to make this my ultimate camping truck. Any advice will be much appreciated. Cheers

Thanks Beach, my local auto shop are suggesting Valvoline Diesel Extra 15w-40 or Super Diesel 15w-40? Not sure which to try or what brand suit the 1KZ motor??

Caltex Delo 400 multi 15w-40 would be a good start........20ltr drum for around $100 mark.

I like the Penrite 15-50 (extra10) it's actually called diesel 15 I think.

Hee hee, I go even one further. Whatever Brand Name 10w40 that is on special!

Anything else is $$ down the drown IMO.

If you are thinking an exhaust start spraying penetrating fluid on the turbo/dump pipe nuts now so they will be ok when the time comes.

I would do the inlet manifold and EGR block first, the the exhaust and an EGT gauge at the same time, then the chip. Here is the link to the inlet clean

I originally had a dtronic chip and have just put the Steinbauer chip and they are chalk and cheese. The Stein is fantastic and with the above mods it is easily as fast as a std D4D.

A cheap alternative with your head unit is to get a later model 120 unit with bluetooth and mp3 input. They plug straight in.

Yeah if it's a diesel , doesn't matter as long as you do it every 5000ks , petrol every 10000 . This is not a sledge for the diesel guys

I am using Caltex Delo 400 and it is fine. Seen a few people on here mention it so started using it. I buy it by the 120lt drum and it was around the $100 mark maybe a few dollars more.
