I'm going to point ppl in the direction of local help, not just parts from foreign countries.

For starters Newzealand is our friendly neighbour and Rick makes no mark-up in going to the trouble of providing a fairdinkum deal for us PP'ers and doesn't even make profit on going to the Toyota Dealers/ bring it home/package/post with no markup on parts/postage and all the running around!

know one cares where they come from as long as its the best deal for them and there back pocket!

I have no affiliation/connection/know anyone with Amayama in any way/shape or form what so ever but they certainly set a bench mark for the competition "With Genuine parts and pricing!

Sounds like another injector issue & with some blow by.
He might not know much about it, most workshops don't.

Mechanic should have told you not to drive it. He knew a bit.......
You can try an injector search on here or try google, to find out more.
You really need to find an expert in your area to sort it out.
Hopefully it's not too late, sorry.

Try contacting BDG (baileys diesel group) they will refer you to someone in your area or closest that might be able to help.

Started this post due to having no idea how this problem occured with my prado or what my options were. ############# responed and also sent me his number if i had any questions. I rang #### and he gave me around 35minutes of his time working through step by step what happened in the lead up to my engine problem. His knowledge of the prado engine was amazing and we cut out a few possible causes over the phone. He gave me enough infomation to go back to my mechanic for clarity of what needed to be done and to make sure a couple of checks were done to see if there was a simple solution, i then called him back to discuss my now educated conversation with the mechanic in which he gave me another 20 minutes of his time. I now now i have damaged my big end bearing. #### has saved me a truck load of time and money running around eliminating issues. At now stage did he try and sell anything to me or influence me in who or what to use. I could not be more gratefull.
