Supercheap had 20% off so I decided to get some cheap oil and flush to do and engine oil flush.
I got 2 x 5.5L bottles of Castrol GTX Modern Engine for $32 and Liquimoly Engine Detox for $20.
Drained the old oil. Refilled with Castrol GTX.
Drove to heat it up. Added flush and idled for 10 minutes.
Drained sump, drained oil filter, refilled with Castrol GTX. I did this to try and remove as much of the flush as possible to avoid seal damage.
Drove to heat up oil. Changed engine oil and filter.
The oil that I drained with the flush in it came out pretty clean so there was probably no need to flush. The oil did drain out pretty quickly with the flush in it.
