Hi!
I was looking in to blocking the egr on my 1KD-FTV engine but I want to make sure it doesn't hurt the engine. From what i've read it shouldn't be a problem to block the egr on the older 1KZ-TE but how about the newer Common Rail engine?
I haven't found any info regarding Toyotas Common Rail but I've read about Nissans Common Rail where some claim you get problem if you block the egr on a Common Rail: "Whatever you do, do not block EGR on modern diesels. The new designs (Common Rail) use EGR control to reduce combustion temperatures. They take advantage of using inert gas via EGR to lower combustion temperatures."
Should I keep my fingers of the egr on my D-4D?
