I managed this with no problems how ever I also decided to do an oil/filter change which did not go so well. The filter must have been installed by one of or simian [gorilla] mates as it would not budge so I resorted so we are to the bang a screwdriver thru it technique which led oil everywhere including the driveway Shock, horror from the SWMBO. Anyway we got most of it off so we are still married! LOL.
All I have left is the underbody fuel filter which I will tackled tomorrow.
Oil filter, get a proper tool, no gorilla, they just get stuck tight.
Under bonnet fuel filter.
Undo 2 plugs.
Remove 2 hose clamps.
Slide hoses off.
Undo 2 12mm nuts.
Take to drain tray. Remove lower bracket 8mm.
Using a nice set of multi Grips carefully unscrew water sensor.
Using a strap oil filter tool unscrew filter from top mount.
Keep it all clean.
Lube o-rings.
Re-assemble in opposite order.
Rear fuel filter.
Clean. Dry.
Remove 2 10mm mounting bolts.
Carefully release orange clips from behind.
Once popped, slip lines off.
Fit up new one, make sure it's secure.
After many years of battling by hand to remove filters i bought a oil filter tool. Why didn't i buy this 20 years ago?
