Hey guys one for us that have the old version oilr i have a rattle under the hood which occures exactky between 1300 and 1400 rpm i cannot duplicate with my head under the hood so it is only under load everything mechanical seems OK seems more like something loose have checked it over but can find no obvious suspects any edxperiences or ideas would be appreciated

Mine also has a rattle at low RPM, i notice it when i am coasting along slowly with very light throttle, i cant get it to make the noise when its stationary either.... Anyone else know what it could be? -

Mine also has the same rattle at 1300 to 1400 rpm under the same conditions, 1kzte, has anyone found it yet?

I had a ratlle under load as well. I found it by getting my wife to put it in drive 1 foot on brake 1 foot on accelerator until it happened and then searched around until I found it. My rattle was coming from teh right hand side panel just behind the headlight. some double sided foam tape fixed that sucker right up.Andrew

Hi Fellas. My 1KZ-TE also has it. It almost sounds like a diesel pipe vibrating. I would put it at the left side of the vehicle. It only appears under low rev's and on load. I would love to put it on a dyno for a while and have a bit of a crawl around but too expensive to just cure a rattle. What makes it worse is the old trout can't hear it - say's I'm losing it! Heat shield on the exhaust?
