  • Changing Drive Belts - D4D

I am trying to mod up an endless air set up and I really should know this for outback travel anyway but - need some advice. What is the best way to change the serpentine drive (fan) belt? Do you have to remove all the belt tensioners to get enough leeway? Any tips would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    DocK

You might need a new belt...do a search on the 'endless air' and you will find somemore info.

Have you ordered yours yet? What about the bracket?

Now for belt length. I've used a 1935mm belt which is approx 300mm longer than standard (from memory).

Mick, your a life saver - thanks a heap. Mind you the instructions seem a bit Chinglish to me but I feel a bit better prepared to give it a go now.

Endless air is fair bit trickier than I expected - have 6PK1940 belt for it. Moding a bracket over the next week or two, just a warning to those out there - the Hilux D4D bracket from endless air does not fit without some tweaking, good place to start from though! I will post that under the Endless Air Thread when I get it all up and running.

G'day MickL, like DocK I am putting an endless air type compressor on my 150. The info you sent way back when appears to have been moved. Can you please repost it. Am almost at a point where I can start putting up some info for the 150 diesel for those who may be interested.

          thanks
