Just got back from my first touring/camping/fishing/4wding trip in Shark Bay in WA. Absolutely loved the Prado and it went a lot better off road than I thought, especially in the soft sand! The only problem I had on the trip was on the return journey, I have the 2004 Grande so it tells me the range and current fuel consumption, the prado was really chewing through the fuel. The fuel gauge dropped about 1/4 of a tank over 140km and the range dropped about 300km as well. However the weird thing was that the fuel consumption was reading between 13-14l/100km. Do you guys have any idea why this might have happened? (The issue seemed to fix itself after my first stop).
