Noisy engine?

G'day all,

Just bought a 4.0L V6 Prado. The only other petrol V6's I have owned have been Commodores. To me the Prado 4.0L V6 seems like a very noisy motor, with the window down and driving through a quiet tunnel the motor and/or exhaust is not quiet at all. It might be me being pedantic but I thought I would ask.

Seems like a ticking noise when putting the foot down coming from around the exhaust where the two pipes meet at the back of the gearbox :?
