I am also thinking about going secondhand due to the long wait. I have seen an immaculate dec 2005 V6 grande with 76000kms and no off road for sale in sydney at a dealer for $44,000? Or, there are a few 04/05 diesel's floating around for similar money. Im tempted

I'd hesitate over an old (non D4D) Diesel - 5000Km service intervals and not a lot of power.
That's why I chose the V6 - as D4D had not yet come online and I couldn't wait.Comment

Ahh whats an extra couple of months if you have waited this long you mays as well get what you really want then you wont have any regrets.
Just think?Spring is almost here before we know it will be Christmas again.Only just pulled the tree down from last chrissy

If I could wait......... definitely the D4d.
My choice ...
GX D4d with Option Pack 2 (Automatic version) - This has Rear & Dual Climate Air, steering wheel controls, ABS, VSC, Air Bags.
Seems like everything the GLX has bar roof rails, fog lights and a 6 stacker cd.
Big difference in price.
I am starting to really like the Sahara's though. This may be my last post so thanks for all the advice.

Price for Option Packs
No pricing released as yet for the option pack, guessing about $1500 on the Manual and $2500 on the auto as you gain VSC, TRC and the rear cooler with climate control air - Gee they make it hard how am I supposed to remember all these details when its different for each transmission. If I was a genius would i be selling cars for a living.Comment

It cost me just over $1100 for option pack one on the manual gxl update model.The only thing you get in option 1 for a manual is side curtain airbags.I could not justfy spending the money on ARB gear and not the extra safety gear.(hopefully we never have to use it).
