Overpriced or Good deal

Guys,

Was looking at this Prado VX and was wondering if its overpriced or a good deal ?? Some have mentioned getting a brand spankers VX for just over $60K

What are peoples thoughts on what its worth ?? Its the crystal pearl 2005 model with 50,000k's on it. Asking price $56,990 !!!

It depends if you what a D4D engine & the 5 speed auto or not?
The Prado in the picture is pre-D4D & 5 speed.
Would not hurt to see if there are any run out VX's at any of the Dealers?
(You may have been down that path already?)

I got a new VX in March for $66500, on road. The VX you're looking at will be another $1000 ( remember you gotta pay the ad valorem tax etc).
So for another $7000, you get a car with a D4D motor, a 5 speed trans , your choice of colour and a lot more inclusions like leather, bluetooth .
I'd be telling the dealer this fact as you're talking the price down

I am about to order a VX D4D this week for $64,990 drive away unless my other quotes come in substantially cheaper (I like the way I was treated by the current dealer). This includes crystal pearl paint, soveriegn bar, towbar, side window shields and mats (august or later build). But must have letter from employer for fleet discount, which isnt a problem.

Sounds like you could twist his arm further given the info available on this great forum! I wouldn't worry about how 'nice' the sales guy treats you... it's purely business. The nicer they make you feel, the better their chance of taking more from you.

From what I recall, a member here got a VX D4D for around $60k but organised for all the options be installed later, outside of the books. So there's still lots of room to move.

Not to rain on your parade but I just got off the phone to my dealer in Adelaide and even though he confirmed a September build for my VX Prado he said that they would do everything they could to get it delivered before Xmas but no guarantees as it could be January. I was originally told a mid October delivery date but that was before all the delays.
