Our Prado was sold to us as the colour Gold Glitter (Dune). We often go on dirt roads and come home with bush scratches on the sides. A mate told us about Auto Glym, a super resin polish. Long-term beauty treatment for all paint types including metallic. It takes away all the scratches including the ones around the door handles. The prado looks like it has never been off road.
    2007 Prado Grande, Auto,Diesel.
Towbar, Headlight & Bonnet protectors, paint protection, Rear dust deflector.
Safari snorkel and Sovereign bull bar.
Reverse parking sensors, Reverse camera, Electronic rust protection. Recovery Equipment, GME TX 3440
ARB Air compressor, 40 litre Engel fridge/freezer.

Just spoke with Autobarn they stock the full range of Auto Glym products.

I wonder if it will void my ming warranty????

Then again they wouldn't know unless I told them.................

          Colour

Yeh, I picked up my new Prado a couple of weeks ago. I chose the grey. I had the choice of Silver Ash or the grey. I have seen alot of the ash lately so i wanted something different.

Nice choice butch_75. I actually wanted the grey, but wait time for me was extending out to 16 weeks (we had no car, back in may) but a silver d4d came in for someone else (finance fell through) so we had first choice.

Like the silver but much prefer the grey. In fact we just got our suzuki swift in the grey, very nice.

Just went down to Autobarn and got some of the AutoGlym Super Resin Polish. Well push me over with a feather, it actually works. The branch scratches, watches, kids bags etc have all gone.

Just like new again. Obviously it fills in the clear coat.

            Thanks guys for the tip

I am pretty keen on Silver but I am lucky enough to have a missus who has a Silver Prado (Petrol) as a work car and having 2 Silver Prados in the driveway does seem a bit boring although they will have different bull bars and motors. I suppose she will just have to get rid of hers.......

Me personally, i like the dark colours as it really shows up the bling of the Chrome bullbar, grille and mirrors. They all scratch the same doesn't matter what colour.
We looked at the Dark grey, dark blue and black, ruled out black as we just sold a black one and ended going blue as one of the business colours is dark blue. I think it is a great shade of blue, very different to the earlier 120 blue.

the may scratch the same.. but its how they look after the scratch and a wash.. darker colours you can really see the damage to the clear coats alot more.
