I have Alpine CDE-W235EBT double din unit with stearing wheel control integration, usb, bluetooth, single CD, mp3 etc. Love it - would not use or recommend anything else. I also added an Alpine in-line amp for extra oomph (I too like my music loud)2008 120 D4D GXL Auto, ARB Bar.
OME Suspension, GME UHF, Alpine Stereo.
Rear Spoiler, Hilux bonnet scoop. Hilux Washer Jets.

I just installed a Asteroid Smart, its basically a car stereo that looks like an Android tablet. It's a bit different but it runs Spotify and a 2TB hard drive with all my music. It also works with all the steering controls and has really good bluetooth interface with voice control. The most surprising thing is fast voice control of music that actually works.Steve

That Alpine looks OK too, but basic (which is not a bad thing).
That Parrot Asteroid Smart, looks a cool too. No CD's, but just about everything else.
Question on the integration of these two, is just a plug to use the Prado steering controls? or separate module?D4D Prado GXL - 2014. 2" OME lift, ARB Deluxe Winch bar, ARB under body protection plates, ARB EZ Deflator, Weaco fridge, Matsen fridge on slide, BFG A/T's, ARB CKMA12 compressor, Oztrail side awning with LED lights PLUS canvas extension, Lightforce XGT's.. I have been using a Kenwood unit with a Garmin GVN-52 GPS for the last 5 years or so.
The Garmin GPS unit is a standalone unit with Video & Audio outputs (RCA's) which can connect with any screen with a Video & Audio in. This way I can update my screen and continue to use the same Garmin GPS module.
I took advantage of JB HiFi's 30% sale and have a Pioneer AVH-X8550BT coming, this unit plays just about anything, has direct I-Pod control, SD card, USB etc plus multiple input/output options to allow for cameras, roof mount DVD's etc. It also connects with Andriod & I-Phone via Blue Tooth for phone control and App's so a nice upgrade from the Kenwood unit.
Naturally I will be able to continue to use my Garmin GPS.

Well, I jumped in today. Went to JBHIFI with swmbo, and asked again, given I had already asked for a Pioneer at $899.00.
Walked out with a Pioneer AVH-X3500DAB nearly $200 off their RRP, install will be done tomorrow..
No reverse camera yet, but could be on the cards.
Any tips, gotchas, or other advice for the install?.
