Am I correct to assume based on previous posts that the new VX I have comes with pre-wiring for a reverse camera. Can someone please indicate where I can find this on my car.
Thanks
Correct, all models now come pre-wired for the reverse camera. Although Im not 100% sure about the new standard model.
The Grande now has the camera fitted as standard, but I cannot tell you where the ends of the cables are located. I would say one look at a Grande will tell you.
I would be very interested to find out if the connectors on the camera end are a generic plug or a special toyota only version.
I'm interested in this too, would like to know where the wiring terminates. Just about to install Pioneer AVH-P6850DVD and would like to hook up a camera at the same time.
I have spotted a couple of cameras on the road while driving and they were mounted on the rear door handle, I would think that would give you a strange view for backing on to a trailer ???? Would be OK for general reversing i would guess......But I have not have a close up look yet

Till you get enough money to do otherwise.'
Anyone with any info yet as to where each end of the wire comes out??
Anyone with an upadate CD manual that could look it up and see??
I would like to get video back into the roadrover unit, and if I don't have to run new wires that would be great
cheers

You have no idea Chippy,
Only a couple of months ago i was having a quite beer or 2 on the front verandah only to see a emu running up the road holding up heaps of traffic, now you dont see that every day
The last time I took a quiet stroll in the front yard around midnight I just happened to spy two yahoos running down the street with my kid's bike ... I think I would prefer the emu
... Oh, and no - I didn't catch them but they didn't get away with the bike
... and as any court official, worth his salt, would have said - "what was I doing, out in my own yard, at that time of night - interfering with other citizens right to go about their business" - steeling from me :x
