Decided to share a positive experience rather than the usual negative ones we all do when we are ripped off or otherwise a victim of poor workmanship or total lack of it.
My 2009 Grande recently had its last warranty fixed price service. I made the decision to take up a CMI after market warranty and got a decent discount on that.
Now, I had a suspicion that I probably wont get value for money and probably wont be covered when something goes wrong because of the number of modifications I have. I got a discount because while talking to the gent, we both clearly understood that those modified parts would be excluded at first instance, but depending on the actual nature of the mod may be included at their discretion. Fair enough in my book.
So, at the last service they tell me. "Sir, your water pump has a leak" Oh great I thought, that just sucks. BUT, they followed with, you have the CMI warranty so when would you like to bring it in for replacement?" Say what???? How much?
"It's free sir." I picked it up today and handed over Nil, nothing, nought! Still miffed, but happy!
Rather glad I took out the warranty, and its already recouping against the cost. So everyone knows, I must get my car serviced by them, but that is not an issue for me as they have always serviced it and do a good job.
