What W.A department uses all these white KDJ120 standard?

Ok, so there are a heap of kdj120 standard in white, usually manual for sale in w.a mainly wholesalers.
I see some interstate dealers buy them too and sell them.

What I would like to know if anyone can help, I'm guessing its a government dept? Or mining?
Who uses all these vehicles? Are they completely shagged? Being a TOYOTA, I think they might be ok?
Or are they beach cars?

Police Dept, usually cab chassis dual cabs, could be up north or metro use. Water Corp use them, Education use them, Health use them. Should be something in the books showing Dept, if no books I wouldn't buy it! There are a heap of ex-rental/mine Hiluxs being dumped on the market at present with the little hiccup in the mining boom in WA, should sort it self out after the Fed.electio! Haha

Pretty well every lease company use them (leaseplan ,easyfleet, fleetcare , there are heaps) as well as csbp , one of the reasons i didn't buy a white one
If you travel the Brand highway or Great northern highway ,a lot of the car carriers have white Prado's on them
Also they will only service them as minimally as possible

I have a standard model with the option packs, was used up north, has full service history and is now back up north doing what is does best. Dropped all the oils and replaced with new when I got it and have it on a 5000k new filter and oil diet. Have not had a problem with the car apart from needing to adjust the rear door lock and a bounce/ vibration through the steering column. All of which are common problems that have been raised by those that bought from new.

Like everything you will get both good and bad examples. You will find abused vehicles in the commercial and private sectors. Of all the vehicles I looked at when buying the private sellers were a let down due to people not having a service history, had DIY modifications that were left to be desired and had the Toyota Tax fever with way over inflated prices for the condition and km's. Buying private would have also put me in the murky situation of little come back if something was to go wrong once I drove it out of the driveway.

Got mine through a wholesaler in Perth. Would recommend them again. No sales push, the cars there are described as what they are. I test drove 5 vehicles in one day with no sale and did not have the slightest fuss from the lady fetching the keys and sitting in the passenger seat. All cars can be looked at by a mechanic of your choice and as always the 3 month drive away warranty. The Prado was priced competitively and is now imo turned into a capable 4wd to bash around these red tracks.

All I have to say is dont be put off by the fleet vehicle's. There are many good examples to be found if people dropped the adopted stigma that they are all junk. I hear people saying that its hard to find good 120 Prado's these days but they are only looking in a small percentage of the overall market. The Prado's we run up on site are allocated to the management hierarchy, are serviced by Toyota when we drop them off in town and are cleaned/ detailed on return to the hire company. Fleet/ hire vehicles are kept in a better condition than our company owned cars as we get our assess kicked if a cleaning or damage fee is raised by the hirer when returned.

Lots of the hire car fleets have/had them......mines and ex Serco lease vehicle with full service history that the lease expired at 50k reguardless of age..

At the time i picked mine up for a good price.......

There were about 8-9 to choose from and i just went over the lot and picked out what i thought was the best one...........so far so good.

Every time. Look at the cheapest d4d man it's the standards in w.a, white and heaps of them.
I figured this type of thing, I know they are good tough cars, so not too worried as would be buying for an offroader.
Just thinking they were all rusted out chassis beach cars lol......

They don't belong to any govt department. Bushbasher has something to do with an illegal car ring that steal white Prados from the east and rebirth them in WA.

Flares, roller skates, yo-yos, ding-bats, whatever the fashion - they all eventually come around again, just ask MLC. The main reason I didn't want a white Prado is so I can find it in the car park when I walk out of the shops and not confuse it with all the hundreds of government/mining/rental Prados out there.
