Hey Guys,

I know few of you bought this item:

I bought it as well but it didn't come with the CD, can anyone post a link where I could download it from? I'm contacting the seller but it's likely to take a while.

Yeah mine had been opened and although the disc was there it had a crack in the centre and I was sus about putting it in the cd drive..

I've got a wifi one of these devices hooked up to my 150 and then iPhone. What are the chance of one of these devices harming the onboard computer??

*Wearing IT propeller hat* - IF you are only using for reading values out of the ECM - I can't see the potential harm. WRITING to the ECM would be a whole different kettle of fish.

The Roo, I think has more knowledge on this - but my best guess is that a sub $200 device trying to write to the ECM is just asking for problems. Google the cost of an ECM.

Cost of an ECM is around $700 plus the time taken to fault find, replace ECM and program. So total cost would be around $1500. I know because I had to change mine recently. I did get quoted just shy of $2000 until I said I had extended warranty... Strange.
